YOU WERE BORN TO SING…BUT YOU’RE HAVING PROBLEMS
You knew as you sang along with the radio in front the mirror, serenading an audience of one. Yes, even then, you knew. Whether you’re performing on the stage or as a teacher, singing freely and expressing yourself in
Whether you’re performing on the stage or as a teacher, singing freely and expressing yourself in song is your genius work.
That’s why it’s devastating when singing becomes difficult or impossible. When you can’t express yourself vocally, it’s as if you lose a part of yourself.
If your voice isn’t performing as it used to, there’s a crack in your foundation that needs to be identified, realigned, and strengthened so that you can get back to singing freely again.
For you, the problem may lie within the vocal instrument itself. It might be an issue with the physical changes that come with age. Or maybe it’s life’s stresses, or an illness or accident that showed up and closed off your physical voice. Whatever the cause, the situation can feel so defeating that it silences you totally.
THE FIRST CRACK IN MY FOUNDATION

ANNE SINCLAIR
My first struggle with my vocal instrument came when I was a student in my Master’s degree program. A virus landed on my vocal folds, and it took a while to diagnose. I was afraid I had been singing incorrectly and had possibly ruined my voice. Would my career be over before it even started?
My next vocal low-point came in my first years of teaching choral music. Vocal abuse through over-use turned out to be the problem that time. But, what I learned from this experience was how to empower singers to strengthen their voices and create vocal health for a lifetime.
As I’ve grown as a singer, teacher, and voice therapist, I learned that it’s possible to heal and fortify your voice. I’ve also learned the importance of healthy, supported vocal production to sustain a strong voice throughout a lifetime. With the right tools, training, and support, you can sing freely at any age or stage of your career.

YOUR VOICE IS A GIFT AND IT’S SUPPOSED TO BE SHARED
In my practice, I work closely with post-surgery or post-speech pathology singers who need more therapy or vocal technique corrections; young singers and amateur adult singers looking to improve their voices; professional singers who need tune-ups or who are going through physical changes/illnesses that affect the voices; teachers experiencing problems with abuse due to over-use.
My technique for a solid vocal foundation is built on four pillars:
Knowledge of how the vocal instrument is put together;
Knowledge of vocal exercises and techniques to produce a strong, free, and supported sound;
Vocal health principles combined with the lifestyle demands of each client;
The psychology of voice (You “play” your instrument with your mind and what you think affects how your voice responds).
Healing your voice and strengthening your solid vocal foundation is my vocation. You no longer need to suffer in silence. My job as a vocal coach is to help you use your instrument to its full potential.
